On February 4, 2025, the Faculty of Mining and Geology welcomed Prof. Daniele Perissin, who delivered the Sarproz software to our research team. This acquisition marks a significant milestone in the advancement of our project, equipping us with cutting-edge tools for advanced remote sensing analysis.

Sarproz is a state-of-the-art software specialized in processing synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data, particularly for persistent scatterer interferometry (PSInSAR) analysis. This powerful tool enables high-precision monitoring of ground deformations, structural stability, and environmental changes. Integrating Sarproz into our workflow will significantly improve our geospatial analysis capabilities, allowing for more accurate and efficient data interpretation.

The procurement of Sarproz is a crucial component of our project’s realization. With its advanced algorithms and processing capabilities, the software will support the interpretation of radar satellite imagery, improving the accuracy of terrain displacement studies. This is particularly important for analyzing geological formations and monitoring site stability at key research locations such as Đavolja Varoš and Kuklice.

Prof. Daniele Perissin’s visit provided a valuable knowledge exchange and collaboration opportunity. During his visit, our team discussed best practices for utilizing Sarproz, ensuring that we maximize its potential for research and analysis. His insights and expertise further reinforced our commitment to advancing remote sensing applications in geological and environmental studies.

With Sarproz fully integrated into our research framework, we anticipate significant progress in our project objectives. The software’s capabilities will improve our data processing efficiency and strengthen our ability to collaborate with international research institutions. This acquisition marks a transformative step in leveraging cutting-edge scientific exploration and discovery technology.
